Pavatex has already been operating an Andritz fiber production line at its Golbey facility since 2013. The latest expansion significantly enhances the mill's overall capacity and efficiency. Andritz again offered a cleverly engineered solution that perfectly met the customer’s specific requirements, making optimum use of the available space in the facility.

The new line with a capacity of seven tons per hour processes a mixture of spruce and pine wood chips to produce wood fiber insulation for the building construction and renovation sector. The scope of supply included a pressurized refining system featuring an innovative 42/44-1CP refiner and a plug-screw feeder designed to optimize dewatering prior to refining. The overall system is known for its efficient pre-steaming and low specific energy consumption.
