Valmet will supply the complete Valmet DNAe Distributed Control System (DCS) and safety systems for PEC Gliwice Sp. z o.o.’s new waste-to-energy steam unit, part of the Green Energy Park project under construction in Gliwice, Poland. The order was placed by the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) consortium consisting of Mostostal Zabrze Gliwickie Przedsiebiorstwo Budownictwa Przemyslowego S.A., Oschatz Power GmbH, and Przedsiebiorstwo Remontów Ulic i Mostów S.A. (PRUiM).
Valmet is to deliver energy balance and district heating accumulator optimization solutions to Fortum’s energy production plants and assets in Espoo, Finland. The new solutions will be integrated with Fortum’s existing Valmet Distributed Control System (DCS), leveraging advanced automation and predictive energy management. The mission-critical solutions enhance the company’s flexible and reliable participation in electricity reserve markets while improving the cost efficiency of district heat production.
International technology group Andritz has acquired Allen-Sherman-Hoff from US-based Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc., further strengthening its offering of boiler solutions and related services. The acquisition supports Andritz’s long-term strategy to grow its aftermarket and service business by offering customers complete lifecycle solutions and support.
